Where can I find genuine GUNAS® products?
Authentic GUNAS products can be found at our online store featured on this website and through authorized boutiques and online stores only.
What are the materials that bags are made out of?
We do not use any leather, silk or fur in our bags. We select the best manmade materials available to construct our bags. These materials which include special faux nylons, eco-polyurethane, synthetic microfibers and ultra-suede are sourced from Japan, Germany, France, Switzerland, Taiwan and the United States and are manufactured using non-toxic methods. We do not use any PVC or Vinyl due to their harmful effects on our environment. Our lining fabrics are made from recycled plastic bottles or up-cycled cotton twills.
Where are your bags made?
Our bags are designed in the United States. The hardware is sourced from Italy and South Korea. The materials/fabrics are sourced from Japan, France, Switzerland and the United States. The threads are sourced from Germany. Depending on the styles and capabilities of the studios we work with, the styles are made in South Korea, India and Italy. Our bags are 100% sweatshop-free and vegan.
Why are GUNAS bags so expensive when they are not made using leather?
Great questions! Just like you would pay 1000's of dollars for a better known brand bag because it is made from high quality exotic leather, our bags are made from superior vegan materials in comparison to other vegan brands. Also a lot of our resources are spent in developing the brand to make it high-end and exclusive. If you are looking for a high quality, branded designer Vegan bag, your search ends with us! We also donate a portion of our sales to support animal charities and organizations supporting ecological welfare.
Do you have a store front in addition to the online store?
In addition to our online store we do 2 annual Pop-up shops in NYC. Please contact us for details and schedules. Generally the Pop-Up is scheduled for Summer (May-July) and the Holidays (October-December). We also participate in smaller local pop-ups at the NY Veg Fest and other vegan centric events in NYC.
What if I love a particular style but want it in a specific color?
Unfortunately our custom color services are no longer available.
What is the delivery time on the bags?
If the bags are in stock then they usually ship out within 2-3 business days of placing the order. If it is not in stock then it could take anywhere from 6-8 weeks for delivery. All pre-orders ship once stock arrives from the factory. Shipping dates for pre-orders are "estimated" dates only and can sometimes change slightly depending on delays in transit or customs clearance. If you are eager to receive your bag please email us so we can provide you with an accurate update on your "pre-ordered" item.
Do you send out discount coupon codes?
Yes, we will occasionally send out discount codes via email or mail catalogs to our customers. So please sign up for our mailing list to receive your special offers in the future. If you've created an account with us and stored your mailing address, we will also send you catalogues in the mail featuring our specials.
What is the cost of shipping & handling?
We charge a flat shipping and handling fee of $14.95 for all ground domestic orders. Rush delivery requests will be charged an express fee. For international order the shipping fee is $49.95 for one bag and $58.95 for two or more bags. International customers are liable to pay any custom duty charges levied by their home country. GUNAS shall not hold any responsibility for such charges and taxes. Additional shipping fee will apply to all returned/exchanged items. Please refer to our Store Policy for more details.
Does putting an item in my shopping cart reserve the merchandise?
No, unfortunately placing an item in your shopping cart does not guarantee it's availability for when you are ready to make your purchase.
Can I ship different products to different locations in the same order?
You cannot allocate separate shipping addresses on the same order. If you would like to send an item to a different location, a separate order will have to be placed. In case you have already placed an order and would still like to have items shipped to a different address, please contact us at email@example.com as soon as possible. We will do our best to accomodate your request. Additional shipping fees will apply even if your original order qualified for free shipping.
Can I cancel an order?
If you have purchased an "In Stock" item then you can easily cancel your order. Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will send you a cancellation confirmation within 24 - 48 hours. Please note, communication via any other channel or social media may cause a delay or miss on your cancellation request. Kindly note all cancellation requests MUST be received via email only. If it is a Special order/Pre-sale/Pre-order item, cancellations with full refund will only be issued up to 1 week after placing the order. After that a 20% cancellation fee will be charged on your order amount. Please know that we do production based on pre-sales. So once the production order has been placed your order cannot be cancelled/returned/exchanged for full refunds. In case of disputes, store credit will be provided only.
All orders must be paid for in full at the time of placing them. Sale and items listed under "Last Chance" cannot be cancelled. These sales are final. No store credit will be provided. Please DO NOT return these items to us. In case of return, items will be held in our facility till you pay for return shipping fees.
Can I return an order?
If you are unhappy with your purchase we would be glad to take your item back. We have a strict 30 days return policy. However, full refunds will only be issued on "In Stock", "Special Order" items up to 2 weeks of receiving your package. Any returns made after that will get charged a 25% restocking fee + the initial shipping fees. We do not offer free returns. All items must be unused and in a brand new condition. All SALE items are final and cannot be returned. In the event that you do return a SALE item, it will be held in our facility for pick up but no refund will be issued. You may send us a mailing label to have your bag returned to you. One-of-a-kind and monogrammed orders cannot be returned.
