Why is GUNAS people’s favorite vegan brand? Let's find out!

      Post by: Sugandh Agrawal
Why is GUNAS people’s favorite vegan brand? Let's find out!

A profound enthusiasm for development, creativity, and invention lies at the core of the vegan movement. Every vegan must be inventive when it comes to food, clothing, and even everyday goods. That is why creative vegan businesses are necessary for the environment, animals, and our health! This trend will continue to expand as long as customers discover delicious, healthy, and easily available items.

Vegan and plant-based meals have become increasingly popular in recent years. In reality, more than 71 million American families, or 57 percent of all households in the United States, bought plant-based foods in 2020, up 4% from the previous year. They're popular all around the world; it turns out. And rightfully so, as we've seen in this article, eating a plant-based diet can offer a variety of health benefits and increase your chances of living a long life. Vegan meals have been found to decrease cholesterol, improve blood sugar, and lessen the risk of heart disease.

With the rise in popularity of plant-based and vegan cuisine, businesses have rushed in to cash in on the trend. The vegan lifestyle may not have (yet) become the new mainstream, but it is unquestionably here to stay, and businesses and merchants would be well to pay attention to it. They should also conduct a thorough study since not all vegan products are ecologically friendly and do not help people or animals in the long term.

      What Exactly Is Veganism?

As the vegan movement gains traction both within and outside of the fashion industry, a growing number of companies and retailers are joining the cause and reducing animal usage in their goods to satisfy rising customer demand.

Veganism is, at its heart, an ideology that promotes compassion by avoiding animal-derived goods. Animals are mistreated and forced to endure conditions that an increasing number of consumers find unacceptable, such as intensive confinement, mutilations performed without anesthesia, and slaughter methods that cause unnecessary fear and stress, especially in countries like the United States, where factory farming is the norm.

Veganism is generally thought of as a way of life. Veganism is defined as a diet consisting solely of plant-based foods. Eggs, milk, meat, and even less apparent items such as honey are not allowed. Veganism, on the other hand, is a way of life. So many of the things we use every day are either derived from animal body parts or produced in a harmful way to animals. Leather shoes and belts, for example, are not considered vegan. Many vegans also shun cosmetics and other goods that are tested on animals.

Some vegans are aware of the negative effects that dietary choices may have on people because of the core tenet of veganism, which is to do no harm. Despite the fact that certain kinds of chocolate are free of animal ingredients, they nevertheless employ exploitative labor practices such as child labor and slavery during the manufacturing process. To preserve ethical consistency across their shopping decisions, some vegans eschew these items.

      Is Veganism Getting More Popular?

Veganism is gaining acceptance and exposure as a concept, particularly in nations such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia, even though the number of individuals who identify as completely vegan stays relatively steady. Switching to a vegan diet isn't always simple, especially when cultural and socioeconomic variables might impact plant-based food availability. People enjoy meat, and dietary change may be difficult. Veganism is progressively gaining public acceptance, despite these obstacles.

Looking at what people are buying is one of the most dependable methods to gauge veganism's progress. Vegan product sales have been steadily growing in recent years, as has product availability. In terms of both investment dollars and innovation, the plant protein industry is also expanding. Vegan tendencies are often trending upward and to the right.

Alternatives to meat that are vegan and have reasonable prices

The entire price of leather vs non-leather items stocked in the US mass market at the end of January was compared by Edited. While 100 percent leather items have traditionally been associated with premium prices, animal-free alternatives are far less expensive. Vegan leather was the less expensive option in every category, with vegan leather outerwear, trousers, and skirts being more than three times less expensive on average.

Is Vegan Fashion Better For The Environment?

Vegan fashion is frequently advertised as environmentally friendly. However, determining a garment's long-term viability is far more difficult than it is frequently shown. A vegan garment is not always more environmentally friendly than one manufactured from animal raw materials, as animal-free goods can be just as damaging to the environment. As a result, the term "vegan" should be used first and mainly to emphasize an ethical choice: that you do not want any live creature slaughtered for your garments.

Vegan fashion: How the market is being dominated by cruelty-free apparel

In the face of growing awareness about animal products and cruelty, the industry's largest companies and fashion shows are moving to veganism.

Some fashion designers and independent brands do not appear to be comfortable with the idea of slaughtering animals in order for one class of humans to live comfortably. This notion motivates them to make a difference while not depriving consumers of exquisite fashion options, and it pushes them to develop eco-friendly alternatives to real leather.

GUNAS, an American vegan handbag manufacturer, is recognized for producing cruelty-free handbags handcrafted in sweatshop-free facilities in South Korea. Our company announced a cosmetic line that would manufacture 100% plant-based, animal-free handmade beauty bars, beginning with pure olive oil soap in floral scents and volcanic ash.

GUNAS, New York's Sugandh Goel Agrawal

Sugandh is a qualified industrial designer who is passionate about fashion and animal welfare. As a vegan, she feels that "animals are not supposed to be a part of fashion or cuisine." Inspired to do something about the murder of animals for fashion, she set out to develop eco-friendly alternatives to materials that would spare animals' lives while appearing just as beautiful as real leather. She created GUNAS, a fashion and lifestyle business that specializes in luxury vegan leather purses, shoes, clean cosmetics, and accessories, in 2009.

She lives her ideas and uses her business to promote awareness about animal rights, ethical and ecological living, and other issues. GUNAS is the pioneer in the United States to employ ‘mulbtex,' a plastic-free substance produced from mulberry plant leaf pulp. Their products are made with vegan and cruelty-free materials in a sweatshop-free environment that promotes fair trade.

GUNAS New York has a wide selection of vegan leather bags. The Moby has to be our favorite. It is constructed of Mulbtex, which is completely plastic and PVC-free. It is waterproof and matures precisely like genuine leather. GUNAS has so many different styles; they're quite amazing.

So, what exactly is Mulbtex? It has a cotton basis that is covered with mulberry leaf pulp. This plant-based vegan leather gets big thumbs up for its environmental friendliness and cruelty-free credentials.

      In Conclusion

Consumer expectations have remained the most powerful driving factor in shaping our society and vital businesses. If the last few years are any indication, we're on the verge of a major shift in how we think about the trendy fashion products we buy.

In the fashion industry, with more major companies committing to transition towards more sustainable, vegan methods, we believe that the sum of our individual ideas will eventually contribute to the beginning of the world we desire.

        Great Bag

I love it. Looks just like real leather. It’s functional too. I’m a mom of two young kids and it fits all the things I have to carry for them when we are out. Can’t wait to buy another bag. So glad I found this cruelty free company. I won’t buy leather ever again!

        Impressed with bag and company

This bag is fantastic- exactly what I was looking for. It is chic, comfortable to wear, and just the right size. I was bummed when I first received it, though, because the leather started peeling in several places. I contacted Gunas, and while it took a few days to get a response, once I did things went quickly and smoothly. I had provided pictures of the damage, and all the employee asked for was my address. She sent me a replacement bag and kindly suggested that I donate the original bag (which I happily did). So far, the replacement shows no signs of the peeling I had with the original bag, and I am loving it!

        Not as advertised

The bag is nice but everywhere I saw this bag advertised, it was orange and green - school colors of my Alma mater. I've never seen a luxury bag in those colors and I knew I had to have it. Still, I thought about purchasing it for 6 months because I have other priorities. I finally decided to gift myself. When I received the bag, I find it's tan and green. I am so disappointed. Tan is not orange.

        Hi Felecia,
So sorry to hear your feedback. Our site does not state that it is orange and green. It is in tan and green color combination. Thank you for shopping with us.
