The ruins of Machu Picchu, rediscovered in 1911 by Yale archaeologist Hiram Bingham, are one of the most beautiful and enigmatic ancient sites in the world. Famously known as the “Lost City of the Incas” this remarkable place is only accessible by train or by a 4 day trek. In 2007 it was also named as one of the seven wonders of the world.
