Q: Where can I find genuine GUNAS® products?
A. Authentic GUNAS products can be found at our online store featured on this website and through authorized boutiques and online stores only.
Q: What are the materials that bags are made out of?
A. We do not use any leather, silk or genuine fur in our bags. We select the best manmade materials available to construct our bags. These materials which include special faux nylons, synthetic microfibers and ultra-suede are sourced from Japan, Germany, France, Switzerland and the United States and are manufactured using non-toxic methods. We do not use any PVC or Vinyl due to their harmful effects on our environment.
Q: Where are your bags made?
A. Our bags are designed in the United States. The hardware is sourced from Italy and Korea. The materials/fabrics are sourced from Japan, France, Switzerland and the United States. The threads are sourced from Germany. All these components are assembled in our factories located in Hong Kong and Manhattan, New York. Due to our small quantity requirements we do not use any sweatshops that engage in mass production.
Q. Why are GUNAS bags so expensive when they are not made using leather?
A. Great questions! Just like you would pay 1000′s of dollars for an Hermes bag because it is made from high quality exotic leather, our bags are made from superior vegan materials in comparison to other vegan brands. Also a lot of our resources are spent in developing the brand to make it high-end and exclusive. If you are looking for a high quality, branded Vegan bag, your search ends with us !

Q: Do you have a store front in addition to the online store?
A. No, currently we only have an online store. If you’d like to discuss about your handbag needs we do have an office/showroom which is available to visit only upon request. To schedule an appointment please contact us.
Q: What if I love a particular style but want it in a specific color?
A. We will specially make a bag just for you in your desired color! For an additional fee we can customize any of our styles to a color of your choice. This would be considered as a special order and could take anywhere from 6-8 weeks for delivery. So if you are ordering it for a special occasion, please take this time constraint into consideration. Rush orders can be accommodated, but at a premium.
Q: Do you make one-of-a-kind pieces as well?
A: Yes, every now and then we’ll include special one of a kind pieces. We also make one-of-a-kind bags for our A-List clients. This service is available only upon the discretion of our designer as it is extremely exclusive.
Q: What is the delivery time on the bags?
A. If the bags are in stock then they usually ship out within 1 week of placing the order. If it is not in stock then it could take anywhere from 6-8 weeks for delivery.
Q: Can I purchase the bags as gifts?
A. Yes, you may send any item as a gift. You may also have your item gift wrapped for a small fee. We will include a card when you order gift wrap. You may fill in your gift card message during checkout under “Order Notes”. If you do not order gift wrap, we can include your message on the invoice included with your order. If you do not want the payment information included with your gift, please let us know. You can include a little note to us in the “Order Notes” section during checkout or you can send an email to sales@gunasthebrand.com
Q: Do you send out discount coupon codes?
A. Yes, we will occasionally send out discount codes via email or mail catalogs to our customers. So please sign up for our mailing list to receive your special offers in the future. If you’ve created an account with us and stored your mailing address, we will also send you catalogues in the mail featuring our specials.
Q: Do I have to pay sales tax on my order?
A. The New York state law requires that we charge applicable sales tax on orders shipped to addresses in any state within the United States.
Q: What is the cost of shipping & handling?
A: We charge a flat shipping and handling fee of $14.99 for all ground domestic orders. Rush delivery requests will be charged an express fee.
For international order the shipping fee is $50.00. International customers are liable to pay any custom duty charges levied by their home country. GUNAS shall not hold any responsibility for such charges and taxes.
Additional shipping fee will apply to all returned/exchanged items.
Q : Does putting an item in my shopping cart reserve the merchandise?
A : No, unfortunately placing an item in your shopping cart does not guarantee it’s availability for when you are ready to make your purchase.
Q : Can I ship different products to different locations in the same order?
A : You cannot allocate separate shipping addresses on the same order. If you would like to send an item to a different location, a separate order will have to be placed.
Q: Can I cancel an order?
A. If you have purchased an “In Stock” item then you can easily cancel your order. Just email us and we will send you a cancellation confirmation within 24 – 48 hours. If it is a special order item, cancellations with full refund will only be issued up to 2 weeks after placing the order. After that a 20% cancellation fee will be charged on your order amount. All orders must be paid for in full at the time of placing them.
Q: Can I return an order?
A. – If you are unhappy with your purchase we would be glad to take your item back. We have a 30 days return policy. However, full refunds will only be issued on “In Stock”, “Special Order” items up to 2 weeks of receiving your package. Any returns made after that will get charged a 10% restocking fee. All items must be unused and in a brand new condition.
- One-of-a-kind and custom color/design order items cannot be returned unless they were received in a damaged condition. To assure highest quality, all items are personally hand checked before shipping.
